Utah Fall Colors

Utah is a beautiful place to be in the fall months. The northern part of the state has beautiful mountain passes and gorgeous canyons that begin changing colors in the middle of September and have amazing fall colors all the way through late October. Southern Utah also has amazing opportunities for fall vacation and outdoor recreation. In September the weather is spectacular and in late September, October and November the nice weather and autumn colors make southern Utah one of the most wonderful areas to vacation in the fall and enjoy time outdoors.

The Uinta Mountains in northern Utah is a large mountain range and national forest that has the highest mountains in Utah and some of the most beautiful national forests in the United States. In late September and October, the fall colors in the Uinta Mountains are spectacular and a drive through the canyons or a short hike can be an experience you will never forget. The fall colors, the smell of pine trees, and seeing the deer and other wildlife are some of the most beautiful experiences a person can have in nature. On the north side of the Uinta Mountains the Black’s Fork River Lodge is just below the Meek’s Cabin Trailhead and families can drive up from Meek’s Cabin Reservoir into the beautiful national forest and enjoy the fall colors, wildlife, and even go fishing in the beautiful lakes. On the south side of the Uinta Mountains the Hidden Springs Lodge and Falcon’s Ledge Lodge are perfect for a fall vacation in the mountains. Hidden Springs Lodge is amazing for large groups over 30 people. Falcon’s Ledge Lodge is perfect for groups between 10 and 30 people. A short drive will take families into the Uinta Mountains to see the amazing Utah fall colors and gorgeous rivers coming out of the canyons.

Southern Utah has many spectacular areas to view Utah’s fall colors. Zion National Park and Snow Canyon State Park are both spectacular. The Saint George River Home and Cliff Dweller’s Retreat are both in the Saint George area and are great for groups wanting to vacation in Saint George in the fall. Kanab, Utah is central to many of the national and state parks in southern Utah. Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park are just a short drive from Kanab, and both have amazing fall colors and are spectacular during the fall months. Grand Plateau Lodge and Juniper Hills Luxury Home are centrally located in Kanab to provide groups the opportunity to explore and experience many national and state parks in the fall.
