Utah Family Ski and Snowmobile Vacation

Utah Family Ski and Snowmobile Vacation

Utah has been continuing to get a large amount of snow in January. The skiing and snowmobiling in northern Utah has been incredible this winter. In this blog we will discuss some of the best areas in Utah to ski and snowmobile during a Utah winter family vacation.

Park City is one of the best areas in the United States for a family ski vacation. Utah has some of the greatest ski resorts and ski powder in the world and many of these ski resorts are located in the Park City area. Heber Valley is just down the road from the Park City and Deer Valley ski resorts and is home to the Soldier Hollow Olympic venue. This beautiful venue is available in the winter months for families to cross country ski and for children to tube the hills. The Silver Springs Lodge is a perfect place for families to stay while they enjoy skiing and sledding in Park City and Heber Valley.

The Uinta Mountains in Utah are amazing mountains for snowmobiling in northern Utah. The Uinta Mountains can be accessed from the north side and the south side of the mountain range. On the north side of the Uinta Mountain range is Black’s Fork River Lodge located on the Wyoming and Utah border. Just up the road from the lodge is a trailhead at Meek’s Cabin Reservoir. It is a great spot to park and snowmobile into the Uinta Mountains to explore some of the most beautiful mountains on snowmobile. On the south slope of the Uinta Mountains is Falcon’s Ledge and Hidden Springs Lodge. Both lodges are just down the road from Yellowstone Canyon trailhead. These are both great lodges for families that love the outdoors to explore the Uinta Mountains and enjoy sledding and winter sports in some of the most beautiful areas in the western United States.

Families love to vacation in Utah during the winter months and the dry, powdery snow in Utah makes for some of the best skiing and snowmobiling in the United States. There is still a couple months left of incredible snow in Utah. We hope to see your family this winter at one of our Utah Family Lodges.
