The early spring weather is just around the corner in southern Utah. March and April are beautiful months in southern Utah and a great time of year to enjoy outdoor recreation in southern Utah. In this blog we will discuss some of our favorite outdoor recreation in southern Utah in the spring.
Spring is a beautiful season in Saint George, Utah. The weather is mild and the sunny afternoons are great for being outdoors and exploring the beautiful red rock canyons and spectacular scenery around the Saint George area. Snow Canyon State Park just outside of Saint George is one beautiful area for families to hike and bike. Snow Canyon is near town and easy to get to for families with small children. There are many short hikes and bike rides for families and when families are tired or hungry they can easily return to town to grab a meal or rest. Red Cliffs National Recreation Area is a little further out of town just north of Saint George. It is a great area to have a family hike or picnic. The Red Cliffs Recreation Area is just north of Saint George about 15 to 20 minutes. There are a few great little hikes, trails to ride bikes, and picnic areas to have an outdoor lunch with family. The Saint George River Home is an amazing vacation home for families to rent for a spring vacation in Saint George. The indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, pickle ball court, and large lawns are great for families to enjoy a private Saint George vacation.
Kanab is also an amazing area to spend time in the spring. From Kanab it is easy to spend time in Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Staircase National Monument, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. There are endless trails and canyons to explore while hiking, biking, or riding OHVs. The Grand Plateau Resort is perfect for those exploring and enjoying this area. The resort is great for all travelers. There are RV sites for those traveling with RVs, small cabins for a few people, a beautiful home for groups of 5 to 15 people, and a spectacular lodge for groups of 20 to 60 people.
We hope to see you this March and April in southern Utah for some spring outdoor recreation!
