Utah Family Reunions
Family reunions are wonderful any time of the year, but summer is family reunion season for most families. The summer months are ideal for family reunions due to children being out of school for summer vacation and the warm summer days are ideal for outdoor recreation. Both northern and southern Utah have some amazing locations and outdoor recreation for family reunions. In this blog we will discuss some of our favorite Utah family reunion locations.
The Uinta Mountains are amazingly beautiful during the summer months and provide endless outdoor recreation opportunities for families who like to get outdoors. On the south slope of the Uinta Mountains the Hidden Springs Lodge is a beautiful property for family reunion gatherings and has a private pool, hot tub, rock climbing wall, indoor sports court, shooting area, and canoeing and fishing pond. Six Lakes Resort and Falcon’s Ledge Lodge are beautiful fishing and lake properties that have very nice accomodations with private pools and lakes for fishing, canoeing, and paddle boarding. On the north slope of the Uinta Mountains the Black’s Fork River Lodge has the Black’s Fork River running through the property and large lawn areas for families to play games and sports. There is also a private pool and pond on the property for families to enjoy. All of these Utah family reunion lodges offer easy access to the Uinta Mountains for hiking, biking, ATV riding, and fishing in the beautiful national forest.
Moab is an amazing outdoor recreation town any time of the year, but summer is one of the best times of the year to gather with family in Moab. During the summer season families can bike the trails around Moab, raft the Colorado River, hike in Arches National Park, ride ATVs and jeeps around Canyonlands National Park, and swim in the pool to cool off. Slick Rock Lodge in Moab provides the perfect lodging and accomodations for family reunions in Moab.
Kanab is an amazing area in southern Utah surrounded by national recreation areas and state parks. Families love to gather in Kanab and explore this amazing area. Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park are just north of Kanab and are wonderful for families to explore and experience together. South of Kanab is the north rim of the Grand Canyon, Grand Staircase National Monument, and many amazing slot canyons and red rock formations. Families will make lifetime memories exploring these amazing outdoor areas. The Grand Plateau Lodge is the perfect gathering spot for families while they explore this area. The private pool, hot tub, pickle ball court, and sand volleyball are great for families to enjoy during their family reunion.
