Utah Family Outdoor Vacation

July and August are great months to spend time with your family in the outdoors enjoying your favorite outdoor recreation. Utah Family Lodges offers amazing cabin and lodge rentals in Utah and Wyoming that give your family great access to outdoor recreation on the property and nearby in the national forest. In this blog we will share some of our favorite areas in northern Utah to spend time in the national forest with your family this summer and have a great Utah family outdoor vacation.

The Uinta Mountains are the highest mountain range in Utah. It is a great place to escape the heat of the summer months and enjoy some amazing outdoor recreation with your family. Falcon’s Ledge Lodge is a great lodge for families that love fishing. There are eight small lakes on the property for fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Just above the lodge is the Ashley National Forest for families to do stream fishing and hiking. It is an amazing outdoor lodge for medium-sized families from 10 to 40 people to gather and enjoy the great outdoors. The Hidden Springs Lodge is also a great lodge for families to gather in the summer near the Ashley National Forest. The Hidden Springs Lodge is great for large family groups and sleeps up to 80 people. On the property is has a canoeing and fishing pond, rock climbing wall, skeet shooting area, and swimming pool. The Ashley National Forest is just up the road and is perfect for families to spend a day exploring in the mountains on bikes, ATVs, or hiking. Down the road from Hidden Springs Lodge is Six Lakes Fishing Preserve. It is an amazing property for families that love to spend time on the water. There are six small lakes on the property and Big Sandwash Reservoir State Park is next door. Families can kayak, paddleboard, and fish on the Six Lakes Preserve and easily go boating, surfing, wakeboarding, or skiing on the reservoir. There is also a private pool and hot tub for the children. Your family will never run out of outdoor fun at Six Lakes Preserve.

On the other side of the Uinta Mountains is the Black’s Fork River Lodge. This beautiful property has the Black’s Fork River running through past the back deck of the lodge and is a wonderful place for families that enjoy wildlife and fishing. You can sit on the back deck and listen to the river flow past as you watch for wildlife along the river. There is also a pond on the property for children to kayak and fish. Families will love playing on this property and relaxing in the private pool and hot tub. The national forest is just up the road and is great for families that enjoy hiking and riding ATVs in the mountains. This amazing property even has pickleball, volleyball, basketball, and huge lawn areas for playing sports and other lawn games.

We hope to see your family this summer at one of these beautiful properties for some family outdoor recreation!
