Fall Family Vacation Lodge in Utah

Fall Family Vacation Lodge in Utah

The fall weather in Utah is amazing and it is a great time of year to vacation in Utah with your family. The warm afternoons and cool nights are great for being outdoors in both southern and northern Utah. In this blog post we will discuss some of our favorite fall outdoor recreation in both southern and northern Utah.

Saint George and Kanab are great areas for a family vacation in the fall. Zion National Park is a great place for families to hike, ride bikes, and see some of the most beautiful red rock canyons and formations in southern Utah. It is also a great time of year to swim and relax in the pool and hot tub at the Grand Plateau Lodge or Saint George River Home.

Both Saint George and Kanab are also amazing areas for families who enjoy riding ATVs and OHVs. The Coral Pink Sand Dunes just north of Kanab and Sand Hollow State Park are both amazing areas to ride ATVs and OHVs. Families love to explore these areas on their side by sides and ATVs. There are also great areas to ride mountain bikes around Saint George and Kanab for families that enjoy mountain biking. Mountain bike trails around Snow Canyon State Park, Gooseberry Mesa, and Red Cliffs National Recreation area are some of the best biking trails in the state of Utah.

In northern Utah fall is also a great time of year to spend time outdoors with your family playing in the mountains and enjoying this beautiful time of year in Utah. The fall colors are beautiful this time of year in northern Utah and the fish and wildlife are active, so it is an amazing time of year to be fishing at Falcon’s Ledge Lodge and Six Lakes Fishing Preserve. It is also a great time of year to be gathering as a family at Hidden Springs Lodge or Black’s Fork River Lodge to spend time hiking, mountain biking, riding ATVs in the mountains, and fishing. The fall months are some of our favorite months to be playing in the outdoors with our family and the warm afternoons and cool evenings is great weather to play outside during the day and spend time around the fire or soaking in the hot tub at night.

We hope to see your family this fall at one of our beautiful lodges this fall in either southern or northern Utah!
