Winter Vacation Lodge in Utah
Utah is an amazing state to vacation during the winter months. Northern Utah has some of the best snow skiing and snowmobiling in the United States and southern Utah has amazing red rock formations and canyons to explore. In this blog we will share some of our favorite areas for a Utah winter vacation.
The Park City and Heber area is one of the best areas in the state of Utah for snow skiing. There are several world-class resorts in the Park City and Heber area including: Park City Resort, Deer Valley, and Sundance Resort. Slick Rock Lodge is a great lodge for groups to stay while they enjoy a Utah winter ski vacation.
The north slope of the Uinta Mountains on the Utah/Wyoming border is an amazing area to snowmobile and snowshoe during the winter months. Families that enjoy snowmobiling and exploring the mountains in the winter will love the north slope of the Uinta Mountains. The Black’s Fork River Lodge is located just down the road from the Uinta Mountains in the Black’s Fork River drainage. A short drive up the road leads snowmobilers to a parking lot at Meeks Cabin Reservoir where families can snowmobile some of the most beautiful mountains in the western United States.
Kanab, Utah is the center of many of the national parks and national monuments of southern Utah. A short drive from Kanab, a winter vacation group can explore Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Grand Staircase National Monument, Vermillion Cliffs National Monument, and Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. This is an amazing area for a Utah winter vacation. Grand Plateau Lodge is just outside of Kanab and is a great facility for families and groups exploring Kanab any time of the year.
Saint George, Utah is a spectacular outdoor recreation area in the winter months. The weather is mild, and the outdoor recreation is endless. Snow Canyon State Park is a great area for families to hike and mountain bike. Zion National Park is just north of Saint George and is also an amazing winter vacation spot to hike and sightsee with family and friends.
