Utah Outdoor Recreation Lodge
Utah is a beautiful state in the spring. Southern Utah has warm weather and beautiful hiking, mountain biking, and OHV riding. Northern Utah has mild spring weather and opportunities to snow ski, snowmobile, fish, mountain bike, ride ATVs, and hike. In this blog we will share some of our favorite spring outdoor recreation in both southern and northern Utah.
In northern Utah the Uinta Mountains are the highest mountain range in Utah and still has lots of snow in April and even into May. Both the north and south slopes of the Uinta Mountains are great for snowmobiling and snowshoeing in April. The Black’s Fork River Lodge and Hidden Springs Lodge are beautiful lodges at the base of the Uinta Mountains are provide great access to the spectacular snowmobiling and scenery in this amazing mountain range.
Spring is a great time to fish in northern Utah and see lots of wildlife. April offers some great river and lake fishing. During the month of May the rivers run high and the river fishing can be tough, but the lake fishing continues to be amazing. Falcon’s Ledge Lodge and Six Lakes Resort and Fishing Preserve are beautiful fishing preserves in northern Utah that have spectacular May fishing and lots of spring wildlife and waterfowl for outdoorsmen that enjoy fishing and watching wildlife.
Moab is a beautiful part of Utah with two national parks. Arches National Park just north of Moab is world-famous for its spectacular scenery and hiking. Canyonlands National Park is also well-known for its amazing scenery and also has some spectacular jeep and OHV trails around the perimeter of the park that offer some amazing off-roading and scenery. Moab is also well-known for its mountain biking trails. Mountain bikers, hikers, and off-road enthusiasts will all love Moab in the spring and the Slick Rock Lodge is the best accommodations for groups exploring Moab in the spring.
Kanab is one of the most spectacular areas of Utah. In the spring months the weather is beautiful around Kanab and the outdoor recreation opportunities are endless. Outdoor enthusiasts will love this area. Just north of Kanab is Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. South of Kanab is the north rim of the Grand Canyon and Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. East of Kanab is the Grand Staircase National Monument. There are endless places for hikers, mountain bikers, and off-road enthusiasts to explore around Kanab. Grand Plateau Resort in Kanab is the perfect place for anyone to stay. This resort has RV sites, small camper cabins, a luxury 3-bedroom home, and a large lodge for big groups.
