June Family Vacation in Utah
Utah is amazing in June. Northern Utah in June is beautiful and has amazing outdoor recreation. Southern Utah in June is warm and is great for an outdoor vacation for those that enjoy red rock canyons and boating. In this blog we will share some of our favorite areas of Utah in June for outdoor recreation.
Kanab, Utah is a great area for outdoor recreation in June. Surrounding Kanab are some of the most amazing red rock canyons and national parks in the world. Just south of Kanab is Paria Canyon and Buckskin Gulch, which are two of the most amazing slot canyons in the United States. North of Kanab is Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park. These amazing national parks have gorgeous red rock formations and canyons. Grand Plateau Resort in Kanab is perfect for any size family to enjoy this area with small cabins, RV sites, and a large lodge for big groups.
Saint George, Utah is also an amazing area to explore in June. The weather is warm and the area is full of amazing outdoor recreation. Snow Canyon State Park, Zion National Park, and Red Cliffs National Monument are great places for families to hike and enjoy outdoor recreation. Families that enjoy boating or golfing will find several reservoirs and great golf courses in the area. The Saint George River Home and Cliff Dwellers Retreat are perfect for families to stay in the Saint George area and explore this spectacular area.
In northern Utah the Uinta Mountains are the highest mountain range in Utah and are beautiful in June and July. The meadows are green and full of wildflowers and the mountain peaks are dusted with snow. Families that enjoy hiking, fishing, and spending time in the mountains will love the Uinta Mountains. On the south side of the Uinta Mountains the Hidden Springs Lodge, Falcon’s Ledge Lodge, and Six Lakes Fishing Preserve are amazing vacation rentals for families to stay while they explore this beautiful mountain range. On the north side of the Uinta Mountains the Black’s Fork River Lodge is an amazing family vacation rental for families that love the mountains.
