Utah Spring Break Family Vacation
Spring has arrived in Utah! The spring season is Utah is amazing for outdoor recreation in both northern and southern Utah. The mild weather and the great outdoor recreation opportunities make spring a great time to get out and enjoy outdoor recreation with your family at one of our Utah family lodges. In this blog we will discuss some of our favorite outdoor recreation for families in Utah.
Hiking in national parks is one of our favorite outdoor activities in the spring. Spring is a great time to hike in the Utah national parks due to the mild weather, smaller crowds, and active animals. Families will love this time of year in Utah national parks as they find many areas to be much less crowded than the summer months and the weather to be cool, so they can hike in a jacket and be very comfortable. Families that enjoy hiking in Zion National Park will enjoy staying in the Saint George River Home or Cliff Dwellers Retreat. Families that like hiking around Kanab in the national and state parks will love the Grand Plateau Lodge. Groups that are spending time in Moab exploring Canyonlands or Arches National Park will have a perfect place to stay at Slick Rock Lodge.
Fishing and spending time on the water with our family is another favorite activity during the spring season. April and May is a great time to be on the water with your family catching a few fish and enjoying the peace and tranquility of nature. Falcon’s Ledge Lodge and Six Lakes Fishing Preserve are both amazing spots to spend time with your family while you relax in nature and catch a few fish. Black’s Fork River Lodge is also a great place to spend some time on a river catching a few fish and viewing wildlife during the spring season.
Families that enjoy gathering together, relaxing, and playing games will find some relaxation and great gathering areas at the Hidden Springs Lodge. During the spring season when the afternoons are warm and the evenings are cool we love to spend time outside seeing wildlife and playing outdoor games and sports on the large lawn. When the evening comes there is plenty of space inside to eat and play games or relax in the hot tub.
