Fall is one of our favorite times of the year due to the great weather, beautiful trees, and great recreation during this time of year. There is still time to get out and enjoy the fall season in Utah. In this blog, we will share some of our favorite outdoor recreation in northern and southern Utah for families.

Falcon’s Ledge Lodge is the premier fly fishing lodge in Utah and is one of the best family fishing lodges in the western United States. Six Lakes Fishing Preserve is one of the most beautiful fishing preserves in Utah and is an amazing place to spend a few days fishing in the fall with your family. Black’s Fork River Lodge just over the Utah/Wyoming border is a spectacular spot for families to spend time in the fall if they enjoy fishing and wildlife. The Black’s Fork River is a great spot to fish and wildlife gather along the river in the fall to eat and drink and it is a great area to view wildlife while spending time with family fishing and enjoying the outdoors.
Visiting national parks is another favorite fall recreation activity of ours. Utah Family Lodges has several beautiful lodges in southern Utah with great access to the beautiful national parks. Grand Plateau Lodge in Kanab is centrally located among several amazing national parks. Grand Canyon National Park is just south of Kanab and Zion and Bryce Canyon National Park are just north of Kanab. Slick Rock Lodge in Moab is near Arches and Canyonlands National Park. Moab is beautiful in the fall and it is a great time to gather family at Slick Rock Lodge for hiking, biking, and ATV riding.
Southern Utah and especially the Saint George area is a great place to gather with family and swim and enjoy beautiful weather together. The Saint George River Home and Cliff Dwellers Retreat are great places for families to gather in the fall in the Saint George area. Both of these great properties have beautiful pools and hot tubs for relaxing and enjoying time with your family while going out to eat at the tasty restaurants in the area in the evening and hiking at Zion National Park or Snow Canyon State Park during the day.
