Utah Family Holiday Vacation Home
We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with their family and friends. It truly is a magical time of year during the holiday season when you can spend time with family and friends and enjoy good food, recreation, and traditions. No matter what your traditions are with your family and friends Utah Family Lodges has a beautiful lodge or vacation home that will be perfect for your gathering. In this blog we will share some of our favorite family traditions and some of the best locations around Utah to gather and spend time together during the holiday season. 
One of our favorite traditions in November and December is to spend time outdoors with our family fishing and hunting. Falcon’s Ledge Lodge and Six Lakes Fishing Preserve have beautiful lodges and cabins for families that love the outdoors. These amazing properties have private lakes for fishing and close access to some of the best trout rivers in Utah. Families that gather at these beautiful properties will have many fishing options during their holiday break. Falcon’s Ledge also has the large pheasant hunting preserve in Utah. It is one of our families favorite holiday traditions to go bird hunting and watch the bird dogs search the fields for pheasants and enjoy the rush as a pheasant bursts out of the tall grasses or bushes. Large family gatherings can rent the Hidden Springs Lodge that has plenty of room for up to 80 people during the holiday season.
During December one of our families traditions is to spend time in the greatest snow on earth and get out snow skiing. Silver Springs Lodge in Heber Valley is an amazing vacation lodge for families that want to have a private vacation lodge while they spend time snow skiing in Utah. This beautiful winter vacation lodge is just down the road about 20 minutes from Deer Valley and some of the best skiing that Utah has to offer.
Snowmobiling is another family favorite during the Christmas and New Years holiday. The Black’s Fork River Lodge on the border of Wyoming and Utah is a beautiful family vacation lodge that provides privacy and seclusion for your family during the holidays and great access to some of the best snowmobiling that Utah and Wyoming have to offer. This lodge is just a two hour drive from the Salt Lake Valley and has great access to the north slope of the Uinta Mountains for some of the best snowmobiling in the western United States.
Many years our family has enjoyed taking a family holiday vacation to the beautiful national parks in Utah. Slick Rock Lodge in Moab has great access to both Arches and Canyonlands National Parks and is great for small or large families. Grand Plateau Lodge and RV Resort are amazing for families that want to explore Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks and the other beautiful national and state parks around Kanab. This area truly is a hidden gem in southern Utah for families who like to explore the national and state parks.
